Richard Lander, MD, FAAP is a board-certified pediatrician with over four decades of experience in clinical practice, healthcare consulting, and medical education. A graduate of the Autonomous University of Guadalajara School of Medicine and UMDNJ, Dr. Lander has served in numerous leadership roles, including Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Rutgers, Clinical Chief of Pediatrics at St. Barnabas Medical Center, and Executive Vice President at 1st Healthcare Payment Systems. He is a nationally recognized expert in pediatric coding, reimbursement, and practice management, frequently presenting at major conferences and contributing to leading medical publications. A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 1979, he has held numerous leadership positions within the AAP, including President of the New Jersey Chapter, National Chair of the AAP Private Payers Advisory Committee and National Chair of the AAP Section on Administration and Practice Management. Dr. Lander continues to consult on pediatric policy, education, and healthcare economics while maintaining a passion for improving care delivery and medical practice operations nationwide.
